Lily Yange is a digital creator/lifestyle expert who is about to change to the game with her down-to-earth personality and infectious laugh. After noticing a lack of diversity and inclusion within the social media culture, Lily knew she had to switch things up. Lily hopes to use her platform as grounds for setting a new beauty standard. She hopes to grow her brand and pave the way for those who may feel different. Lily wants her followers to know that nobody else’s idea of beauty matters; it’s all about the beauty within.
Lily’s support and compassion come from her own experience with bullying. Born in Uganda, Lily and her siblings experienced the tragic loss of their mother when Lily was only five years old. Lily’s sister, Christine, took over the role of their mother and raised Lily and her three brothers. Lily’s life changed when she and her siblings received a church sponsor, and in 2001, they moved to Canada and settled in Scarborough, Ontario. Upon entering elementary school, Lily got teased for being different. She was continually feeling left-out and had a hard time making friends. After graduating from elementary school, Lily had high hopes for high school. She’d planned on attending a predominantly black school with the hopes of fitting in. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite, and Lily continued to be brutally teased and bullied. Despite the considerable impact bullying has had on her life, she has persevered and grown from the experience.
Lily started her blogging journey four years ago after the birth of her son, Felix. Lily frequently shared her day-to-day life with her followers and built connections with thousands of strangers who couldn’t get enough of her fun-loving family and positive energy. After settling into the motherhood role, Lily decided to dig deeper into her passions and was able to start sharing more of her love for fashion. Lily has successfully combined her love for fashion and photography, and she is consistently providing her followers with stunning images.
In just a short few years, Lily has worked with brands such as Sephora Canada, H&M – who she assists with creating seasonal looks, Mercedes, Mazda and more. Lily can also be found gracing the cover of Zhuri Magazine and is featured in Instyle, Elle Quebec and Vogue Italia. She spent the last half of 2019 on a media tour, where she demonstrated her parenting expertise on various morning shows around Canada. Needless to say, she’s keeping busy with no plans to stop.
